Game Recap

Our young Norsemen had a solid first game. They came out scoring with Jon Washam dishing two assists to Josh Siebert who put them both in the back of the net in the first quarter. The offense then slowed as the Norsemen searched for offensive options. A converted defender, Blake Laframboise had the only goal for Valhalla in the second half on a beautiful sweep and shot on the run. Another converted defender, Casey Casper drove to the goal time and again, beating his man and drawing waves of defenders, but just missing on a number of opportunities. He will surely get his goals soon enough. The defense looked stingy with defensemen Francisco Quezada, Ben Sange and Robert Logan creating turnover after turnover all while Luke Kajy continued to impress while in at goalie. In the end, multiple unforced turnovers and a more experienced San Diego team pulled away, but the young Norsemen gained vital experience and are getting better everyday! The team looks to build on their growth and get their first victory next Thursday at Foothills Christian.
