Game Recap

Valhalla Norsemen picked up where they left off yesterday with solid starting pitching and batting depth throughout the lineup. Andy Boyd pitched 5 2/3 innings, striking out 6, and allowing 0 earned runs, earning the W. Nick Lanciers got the save pitching an efficient 14 strikes out of his 19 total pitches. Aaron Lane belted a 1 out solo home run in the second inning spearheading the Norsemen bats that racked up 12 hits. Norsemen 1 and 2 hitters Jake Kremer and Caleb Kister connected for 3 hits a piece and a combined 5 runs scored. Austin Scribner stroked 2 hits and a sac fly picking up 4 RBI on the day. Base hits from Matt Ozenbaugh, Evan O’Neill, and Aaron Lane (in addition to his HR) rounded out the bats for Valhalla. Tyler Avalos drew 3 walks, scored 3 runs and had a stolen base.
