Valhalla High School
As usual between Granite HIlls and Valhalla it was a battle with each team trading goals in the first 1/2. The first half ended with a score of 9-7. Not much defense by either team. At 1/2 time, Coach Houston bared into the boys and criticized them for their individual play, and implored them to play team water polo. The boys responded with a 4-0 run in the 3rd period to take 13-7 lead into the 4th. Granite took advantage of a bit of a letdown in the 4th period by Valhalla wining the quarter 5-2. Final score of 15-12, Valhalla surviving with the win. Woody Kueber came up big with 6 goals, and 3 assists, along with 4 steals, and was named player of the game. Solid performances from Thomas O’Carroll, Andrew Higginson helped propel the norsemen to victory. Coming off the bench JD Stockwell contributed with a couple of assists, and a steal. Ben Sange had 12 saves in goal.
