Game Recap

The offense came alive tonight. 9 of 10 offensive players scoring. It was a scoring fest tonight. Looked like it was going to be a tight one at the beginning with Santana starting the scoring and Valhalla catching up the whole first period. The Norsemen finally got it together at the end of the first and took the lead 4-3 to start the second period. Second period was all Norsemen, and they never looked back scoring 7 goals in the 2nd period and 4 goals each in the 3rd and 4th periods. Defense was a bit shaky tonight as the Sultans put away 9 goals of their own. Highlights of the game were Jensen, Nordquist, O’Carroll each with 2 goals, Kueber with 4 goals, Romero, Stockwell, Pyjar, French all getting in on the scoring action with a goal apiece. Player of the game was Andrew Higginson, with 5 goals, 4 assists, and 5 steals.

Meet Recap

Norseman boys varsity ran hard against Steele Canyon but came up just short. The Norseman ended the meet in tie with points, but unfortunately lost the tie break with the final runner by one position. Revenge for the loss will hopefully be made at league finals in November. Next race for Boys Varsity is the prestigous Mt. SAC (San Antonio College) Cross Country Invitational being held on October 21st. This is the largest cross country invitational in the country. Good luck!
