Jade Hill Drives In Four To Seal Valhalla Norsemen Varsity’s Victory Over Mission Hills
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity defeated Mission Hills 15-6 on Thursday thanks in part to Jade Hill, who drove in four runners. Hill drove in runs on a triple in the second and a single in the third.
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity earned the victory despite allowing Mission Hills to score five runs in the second inning. Mission Hills’s big inning was driven by singles by Kaelah Garduno and Gallegos and a home run by Fidita.
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity opened up scoring in the second inning. Marissa Lupo drew a walk, scoring one run.
Mission Hills evened things up at five in the bottom of the second inning. Gallegos singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third Devyn Ruffer singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run and Hill singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Delaney Stettler led things off on the rubber for Valhalla Norsemen Varsity. She allowed nine hits and six runs over six innings, striking out two.
Autumn Poppett led things off in the pitcher’s circle for Mission Hills. She lasted four innings, allowing ten hits and 11 runs. Jenna Arce threw three innings out of the bullpen.
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity scattered 15 hits in the game. Maryn Jordan, Samantha Green, Hill, and Kelly Olson each racked up multiple hits for Valhalla Norsemen Varsity. Hill, Green, and Jordan each managed three hits to lead Valhalla Norsemen Varsity.
