Both pitching staffs had their hands full on Wednesday in a high-scoring affair where Steele Canyon bested Valhalla Norsemen Varsity, 11-6.
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity got things started in the first inning when Samantha Green doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Steele Canyon took the lead for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jessica Venzor singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Audrey Bagge homered on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs, and Bianca Morales hit a solo homer.
Valhalla Norsemen Varsity put up three runs in the sixth inning. Valhalla Norsemen Varsity scored its runs on a home run by Maryn Jordan.
Grace Richter got the start for Steele Canyon. She lasted seven innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out four.
Delaney Stettler started the game for Valhalla Norsemen Varsity. She lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and six runs while striking out three.
